MANILA – Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy denied he is hiding from authorities and claimed to just protecting himself from possible extradition to the United States.
In an audio recording aired by SMNI News Channel, Quiboloy said he wanted President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to give him a written assurance that the US won’t meddle once he surfaces and faces the cases against him.
Bigyan ako ng garantiya ng Secretary of the Department of Justice, [Crispin] Boying Remulla.
Authorities have been looking for Quiboloy after a Davao City Regional Trial Court issued a warrant of arrest against him and five others for alleged child abuse and sexual abuse.
The Senate and the House of Representatives have issued a separate arrest orders against the controversial pastor for his failure to attend their inquiries regarding child abuse and issues regarding the SMNI franchise, respectively.
Separately, Quiboloy is facing 43 counts of criminal cases in the United States for serious human rights abuses, including a pattern of systemic and pervasive rape of girls as young as 11 years old.
Quiboloy alleged that all actions being undertaken to arrest him were to ensure that he would be taken by the US.
Tapos naghihintay yung sergeant-at-arms na may warrant of arrest.
