ILOILO City – A 35-year-old resident of Barangay Biri Norte, Leon, Iloilo had been arrested, a police report showed.
Roy Dela Cruz was charged with rape and violation of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection for Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Officers from the Leon police station and the Provincial Special Operations Group of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office served him a warrant of arrest at around 10:50 p.m. on March 4 in their village.
The bail bond for his temporary liberty has been set at P80,000.
The Leon police took him in custody./PN
