BACOLOD City – Charged with rape and homicide, a farmer was arrested in Barangay Cartagena, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
He was 18-year-old Robert Garcia of Barangay Gil Montilla, Sipalay City, a police report showed.
Garcia’s apprehension was staged on the strength of an arrest warrant around 6:15 p.m. on July 25, it added.
Police officers served the warrant issued by Judge Edwin Gomez of the Regional Trial Court Branch 77 in Sipalay City dated June 17, 2020.
The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of the Sipalay City police station.
The court recommended no bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
