BACOLOD City – A rape with homicide suspect was shot dead in a hot pursuit operation in Barangay Campo Himogaan, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
He was the 30-year-old Jojit Miñosa of Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Officers from Escalante City police station and Sagay City police station hunted Miñosa after a complaint was filed against him on Thursday.
At around 8:30 p.m. that day, police found Miñosa.
But Miñosa resisted arrest and drew a gun that he pointed at the arresting officers.
The police, as a result, opened fire at Miñosa.
Miñosa sustained a gunshot wound and died, police said./PN
