ILOILO City – A rape suspect was arrested in Barangay San Jose, San Miguel, Iloilo.
He was Jerick Gubatanga, 39, of Barangay San Isidro, La Paz district, police said.
Gubatanga was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 6 p.m. on Aug. 23, the police added.
Police officers served the warrant issued by Judge Marie Yvette Go of the Regional Trial Court Branch 37.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the San Miguel municipal police station.
The court recommended no bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
