MANAPLA, Negros Occidental – A man charged with three counts of rape was arrested in Hacienda Napungulan, Barangay Tortosa, Manapla, Negros Occidental at about 12:30 p.m. on May 22.
Donesio Ortiz, 28, was caught on the strength of a warrant of arrest (Criminal Case numbers 12987-40, 12988-40 and 12989-40) issued by Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 40 (Silay City) on May 14.
The complaint against Ortiz was filed on February 2021. A 15-year-old girl claimed she was raped thrice in the woods near her house.
The court recommended no bail for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
Ortiz was taken to the Manapla police station./PN
