AFTER losing over 70 pounds over the last few years, Raymond Gutierrez said he can totally understand how it feels to find it hard to lose weight. “Well for me I’ve been on the other side of the spectrum where really I was the most unfit, the most unmotivated and parang I was about to give up na. Parang I’ll just be overweight my entire life but once you start to work out and you feel better, you feel healthier, you get addicted to that feeling eh. And it’s really part of my daily life now even if just for ten minutes. Yesterday I rested because I just needed a rest for my body. But of course there was still walking. I think every little bit counts. So for me it’s important to just create time for it,” he shared during the unveiling of “Kiehls Philippines Made Better” campaign products in Greenbelt 5, Makati last July 18.
Now that he is a Kiehls ambassador along with his twin brother Richard, Raymond said they are happy to contribute to the conservation of the “Save Philippine Seas” movement by designing the new limited edition products. Before his fitness transformation, Mond said he had to deal with bullies who kept comparing him to his always fit brother. “I’ve been in the public eye since I was a kid and for many of those years my twin brother was a superhero so you can imagine all the comments that I would get on social media like, ‘Bakit hindi ka magpapayat, sayang ka, your brother is so fit.’ So I’ve been on the other side of that as well and for me, you have to have good people around you, believe in yourself. For me, ignore the haters and it all starts with you. If you believe in yourself it will all start to happen,” he shared. (Push)
