ASIA’S Songbird Regine Velasquez defended Marian Rivera in connection with the spread of memes and video clips of Kapuso Primetime Queen.
The memes originated from a video where Marian sings “Unfaithful,” one of the hit songs of international pop singer Rihanna.
The video was taken when Marian performed in an episode of Party Pilipinas, the former Sunday musical-variety show of GMA Network, in 2013.
A fan of Regine tweeted Marian’s meme on Sunday, Oct. 28. The fan captioned it “Asia’s Quail.”
But the new Kapamilya singer-actress took to Twitter asking to stop mocking Marian.
“Please guys wag na, inaanak ko yun please at love ko sila so please stop na. Besides Hindi naman talaga singer ang lola nyo she’s an actress and very good one so please stop na,” Regine tweeted.
Regine is one of Marian and Dingdong Dantes’s ninang in their wedding in December 2014.
The fan said she was sorry, adding that she was not basher of the Kapuso actress.
Regine replied, “Ok but please no more na kasi hindi natin alam baka naman na hurt na rin sya diba please napagkatuwaan na naman ok na yun.” (Pep.ph)
