SINGER-actress Regine Velasquez-Alcasid was hailed the Icon of the Year at the recently concluded MEGA Fashion Awards 2021, held virtually on Friday, May 28.
On Instagram, MEGA Magazine paid tribute to the Asia’s Songbird and wrote, “A queen on and off the stage, our Icon of the Year is one of the greatest musical artists in the Philippines and a record-breaking artist who continues to soar higher and higher. This year’s MEGA Icon of the Year is Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.”
“Thank you so much, MEGA Magazine for choosing me to be the MEGA Icon awardee of 2021,” Regine said as she thanked God and her family during the award show’s livestream.
Aside from Regine, more celebrities were honored at the event like actress-philanthropist Angel Locsin who was awarded as the Most Promising Young Leader of this Generation.
Likewise, KZ Tandingan was announced the Most Stylish Performer of the Year while Nadine Lustre was the Cover of the Year awardee.
Bretman Rock was Most Influential Social Media Personality for Beauty while Heart Evangelista was Most Influential Social Media Personality for Fashion.
Anne Curtis, on the other hand, was Most Influential Social Media Personality for Entertainment.
Apart from celebrities, MEGA also recognized known personalities and brands in the fashion and beauty industry.(Push)
