ILOILO City – The No. 1 wanted person in Western Visayas was arrested in Barangay PD Monfort North, Dumangas, Iloilo.
The 22-year-old “Richie,” a rape suspect and resident of the barangay, was taken to the Dumangas Police Station at 2:19 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, for six counts of rape.
Six arrest warrants dated Aug. 11, 2023, with no bail bond recommended, were served by the municipal police, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office Intelligence Unit and the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company.
The suspect was accused of raping his minor relative, according to Major Kenn Albert Lepsia, Dumangas police chief.
“The victim’s mother went to the police station and filed a complaint. The suspect did not even know he had pending cases,” Lepsia said./PN
