BACOLOD City – The decomposing remains of two individuals were recovered by authorities at a drainage system along the Economic Highway of Hacienda Sayson in Barangay Felisa on Sunday afternoon.
The police have yet to identify the remains as of this writing.
One was without clothes and still in the early state of decomposition, while the other has been reduced to skeletal remains, according to Police Station 10 commander Police Maj. Richard Fajarito.
Fajarito said the killing may have taken place somewhere else.
How the remains were dumped was similar to separate incidents in Murcia, Negros Occidental last month and in late March.
Families of the two individuals who were reportedly abducted in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, on April 19 went to the police station but were unsure of the identities of the remains.
Fajarito said the remains would be immediately buried if unclaimed, but also said they would conduct a DNA test./PN
