ANTIQUE – A 31-year-old restobar employee was shot by an unidentified suspect around 3:38 a.m. yesterday in Barangay Funda Dalipe, San Jose de Buenavista town.
Alias “Abner,” a resident of Barangay Intao, Laua-an, sustained gunshot wounds on his shoulder and neck.
Police said Abner was rushed to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital but was later transferred to a hospital in Iloilo for surgery.
According to the owner of the restobar, the victim went out to remit money and when he returned, a man suddenly appeared and shot him three times and immediately fled.
As of this writing, officers of the San Jose police station were still investigating the incident to identify the gunman and determine the motive of the shooting./PN
