Ret. gov’t employee charged with estafa

BACOLOD City – A 63-year-old woman from Talisay City, Negros Occidental charged with two counts of estafa was collared recently.

The apprehension of “Lucille,” a retired government employee, at about 9:05 a.m. on Jan. 30 in Barangay Zone 15, resulted from the combined efforts of the Talisay City Police, the Anti-Kidnapping Group-Visayas Field Unit, the Bacolod City Maritime Police, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6.

“Lucille” had an arrest warrant for two counts of estafa issued by Hon. Amcel Leyte Mercader in Bacolod City dated Dec. 29, 2023.

The bail bond for her temporary liberty amounted to P108,000 for each count.

The apprehended individual is now in the custody of Talisay City police for proper disposition.
