ROXAS City – A retired teacher was found dead inside a motel along Bangbang Street in Barangay Inzo Arnaldo around 11 a.m. on Monday.
Police identified him as the 75-year-old Roberto Daylo of Barangay Pondol, President Roxas, Capiz.
Premierre Inn attendant who requested not to be identified said Daylo checked in at the motel around 10 a.m. on the same day with a female companion he estimated to be around 40 years old.
After an hour, the motel staff heard the woman scream, asking for help.
“Naga-request sia bulig kay nagpangihi lang daw iya upod pero hinali lang ini inatake. Nakita namon nga nagahigda na ang lalaki nga naka suksok sang brief kag wala na kabuhi,” the attendant said.
He added: “Sang ginhambalan namon sia nga gapakadto na ang Emergency Response Team, nag-request sia (woman) nga indi lang pag isugid iya identity.”
The woman then walked out of the establishment.
The response team then brought Daylo to the Roxas Memorial Hospital where the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
