COULD IT be true that the supposed return of a prominent sports personality to his beloved sport that made him famous later this year is still hanging in the balance?
Buzzer Beater learned from a source that before his recently-announced match that will take place in two months, the sports personality had a prior commitment with another fighter months ago.
“May posibilidad pa na hindi matuloy ‘yung pagbabalik ni (prominent sports personality) kasi may gusot pa siyang dapat na ayusin,” a source with knowledge on the matter said on condition of anonymity.

After guarding each other for several years, Bacolodnon center Justin Chua is glad to finally have Vic Manuel on his side at the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters camp.
“It’s really tough to guard him lalo na nung sobrang kundisyon siya,” said Chua of Manuel. “So he is a huge addition for us, and I am looking forward to having a partnership with him.”
“I am also excited to start learning stuff from him also sa practices. Vic’s a veteran na rin, and he’s been very good in the PBA,” added the former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles center.
Chua further said that he and fellow Fuel Masters big man Jason Perkins must build chemistry with the 33-year-old Manuel and their rookie big man Larry Muyang.
“So lahat ng big man (namin) bago. I will try to help them also get acquainted with the system faster,” said the 6-foot-6 Chua. “I want to see how I will blend with the new guys.”
Chua was coming off a solid year with the Fuel Masters in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup, which made him a finalist in the Most Improved Player award and as a Gilas Pilipinas pool call-up./PN
