ROXAS City – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Capiz extended to April 15 the ultimatum it gave to Patrocenio Chiyuto a.k.a. Don Chiyuto, chief executive officer of a double-your-money investment scheme, to return the money of his investors.
The original deadline was March 31. The SP extended it following reports that Chiyuto was kidnapped in Las Piñas City, Metro Manila on March 16.
In February, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) revoked the registration of Chiyuto Creative Wealth Document Facilitation Services OPC for running an unregistered “double-your-money” roulette game scheme.
“In fairness kay Chiyuto, kon matuod gid man nga gin-kidnap, pagahatagan siya sang SP tubtob Abril 15 nga mabalik ang kwarta sang mga tawo,” said Provincial Board member Eleuper Martinez, chairman of the SP Committee on Laws.
He, however, found it curious that HHthe alleged kidnapping – made public through Chiyuto’s Facebook account — took place a few days before the SP’s public hearing on March 17 that set an ultimatum (March 31) for all suspicious investment schemes in Capiz to return the money of their investors.
“Ako mismo naga-apilar kay Mr. Chiyuto nga i-balik na lang ang capital kon may ara pa gid man da nabilin,” said Martinez.
Chiyuto had not been seen in this city or Capiz since last month after the SEC revoked the registration of Chiyuto Creative Wealth Document Facilitation Services.
His camp denied the kidnapping was a “drama” or staged.
“Hindi po ito biro…Sana buhay pa si Don para maharap kayong lahat. Pero kung puro kayo paninira na wala naman kayong alam, kung maari manahimik muna hangga’t hindi pa namin natatagpuan si Don,” said a relative./PN
