BACOLOD City – Police are looking into “revenge” as possible motive in the killing of a fish vendor in Isabela, Negros Occidental.
Raymond Elvidiado, 42, of Barangay 6, Isabela was tending to his products at the public market in Barangay 7 when two unidentified people shot him several times.
Elvidiado was hit on the neck, back and chest. He was taken to the Ignacio Arroyo District Hospital but was declared “dead on arrival.”
The suspects escaped after the Sunday evening attack. Police found three empty shells of a .45-caliber pistol at the crime scene.
Elvidiado was a former prisoner. He was released in December last year.
He was charged with homicide after allegedly stabbing to death a certain Al Tobongbanua in April 2015, said Chief Inspector Edfel Balibadlan, Isabela police chief.
Police have yet to identify the suspects as of this writing./PN
