BARBIE Forteza, Kyline Alcantara, and Ruffa Gutierrez are so ready for their upcoming series, “Beauty Empire.”
As seen in Aubrey Carampel’s report in “24 Oras” on Monday, April 21, the three stars could not help but express their excitement about their newest project.
“Coming from grand period drama na ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ at ‘Pulang Araw,’ ngayon we will step into beauty and fashion. B-beauty si ate Barbie, fa-fashion siya, so very, very excited. Together with my glam team, we’re all very excited,” Barbie said.
Meanwhile Ruffa said starring in “Beauty Empire” is a full circle moment for her.
“I started my career in television here in GMA at the tender age of 14, and now I can’t lie about my age anymore, I’m 50 and I’m back here with my GMA so I’m really excited,” she shared.
For Kyline, she feels nervous because the series is her “biggest” project so far.
“Kinakabahan ako nang sobra-sobra kasi napakalaking proyekto nito. This is my biggest so far. I feel so honored at the same time kasi si Ms. Ruffa, si Ms. Gloria [Diaz] nasa harap ko at isa si Barbie sa tinitingala kong artista talaga sa henerasyon ko,” Kyline said.
Aside from Barbie, Ruffa and Kyline, South Korean actor and former Golden Child member Choi Bo Min will also star in the series. This will be Bo Min’s first project in the Philippines after signing a contract with Universal Records Philippines in March.
Other cast members include Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Sam Concepcion, Chai Fonacier, and Sid Lucero.
Produced by GMA Public Affairs and based on an original concept by CreaZion Studios, “Beauty Empire” dives deep into the intense rivalries and high-stakes drama among powerful women as they navigate the beauty industry driven by ambition, revenge, and power.
“Beauty Empire” is set to premiere soon on Viu before it makes its debut on GMA Network. (GMA Integrated News)
