MANILA – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board said Thursday it planned to release by July new fare rates for ride-hailing firms, which will be “slightly higher” than taxis.
Ride-hailing companies are expected to submit proposed rates next week, said LTFRB board member Aileen Lizada.
“We have to find that formula na hindi sila magco-compete with taxis,” she said.
Ride-hailing firms will have the flexibility to build their fare structure within the range prescribed the LTFRB, she said. (ABS-CBN News)
