BACOLOD City – Riding-in-tandem suspects shot a man in Sitio Habag, Barangay Martillo, La Libertad, Negros Oriental, a police report showed.
Police identified the man as the 46-year-old Anatolio Bancairen of Barangay Poblacion, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental.
Bancairen was shot around 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, police said.
He sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of the body and was rushed to the Guilhungan City District Hospital where the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
The two suspects fled on board a motorcycle after the shooting, said the police.
Recovered from the crime scene were 11 empty shells of a .45-caliber firearm.
La Libertad police were still identifying the suspects and the motive in the shooting./PN
