Right but wrong

THERE have been a number of articles about how COVID-19 has spread so far and one of the possible causes are the millennials who are still going to the beach or out partying with groups of friends.

They seem to think the world owes them a favour because of how fantastic they are.  They don’t get it because they haven’t had to face any challenges without mum and dad telling them how great they are and denouncing anyone who dares doubt that.

The sad reality now is that they may be giving their parents a fatal illness.

I hope they improve because I need them working and paying taxes for my pension.

A hair-raising virus relief
As the coronavirus has spread around the world, we have seen a number of restrictions imposed and Australia is no different.

We are at Level 2 and likely to move to even more strict restrictions.

For us this means schools are closed, coffee shops can only sell take away coffee and I have to do my music lessons by Skype.

Depending on your beliefs you can’t seek divine intervention as all churches, sports and horse racing meetings are cancelled for the moment.

Last night the Prime Minister announced the easing of one restriction – the length of a hairdressing appointment was no longer limited to half an hour and you could now still get a cut and colour.

An odd restriction to ease and of no consequence to me as I am bald.

I know this is a serious problem, but I want my sit-down coffee and cake.

Students, quiet please!
With the closing of many schools locations teachers are now starting to deliver their lessons online using programs such as Skype and WhatsApp.

They are looking forward to being able to use a mute button. (dfitzger@melbpc.org.au/PN)
