KALIBO, Aklan — The Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) has expressed alarm over the rising cases of suicide in the province.
In 2019, the APPO recorded 10 cases. So far this year since January, it already recorded 34 cases.
The municipality of Malay (including Boracay Island) had the most number of cases at eight.
It was followed by New Washington town with five cases.
Kalibo, Banga and Tangalan towns had three cases each.
On the other hand, Numancia, Altavas and Ibajay had two cases each while Buruanga, Balete, Batan, Makato, Libacao, and Nabas had one each./PN
