BACOLOD City – Police were still identifying a dead man who was fished out of the Ayungon River in Barangay Batuan, San Enrique, Negros Occidental.
Resident Rene Estoya saw the man floating in the river at around 7 a.m. on Sunday, a police report showed.
A team led by Inspector Noli Navarro, deputy chief of the San Enrique police, responded to the village.
The man was wearing a V-neck shirt and a brown pair of shorts with six pockets.
According to the police, the man is not from the village and may have been brought there by the river’s strong current.
