ILOILO City – After going missing for three days, a 33-year-old man was found dead in Barangay Pandan, Dingle, Iloilo.

Rogelio Porral Jr., a resident of Barangay Zarrague, Pototan, was fished out of the Pandan-Bongloy river.

Locals found the floating body at 2 p.m. on Jan. 19, police said.

Porral went out to buy liquor on the evening of Jan. 16. He failed to return home, initial investigation showed.

“I talked to the victim’s family, and they said they last saw him alive at 8 p.m. last Tuesday,” said Senior Inspector Samuel Vipinosa, Dingle police chief.

Police were looking into a possible drowning but they were investigating further for possible foul play. An autopsy will be performed on the body, said Vipinosa./PN
