BACOLOD City – A 22-year-old woman was found dead floating at the Linao River in Barangay Linao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The woman was identified as Rena Mae Rapiosa of Barangay 1, Kabankalan City. She was deaf and mute, police said.
Rapiosa’s lifeless body was discovered by Zion Gantala around 3:10 p.m. on July 14, the police added.
According to Rapiosa’s cousin Bryan, the former has been missing since July 12.
Her body was brought to a local mortuary for a “post-mortem” examination.
Officers of the Kabankalan City police station have yet to rule out foul play in the incident./PN
