BACOLOD City – Mark Leonard Quesada was walking along the barangay road in Su-ay, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental when a black motorcycle sped right past him.
Quesada and the motorcycle driver then had a confrontation that led to the former getting stabbed by the latter, police said, citing witnesses.
The 35-year-old Quesada died of a stab wound. Police were still trying to identify the motorcycle driver as of this writing.
The incident happened on Nov. 24.
Police learned from witnesses that the altercation erupted when the motorcycle driver turned around and got back to the complaining Quesada.
Witnesses were shocked upon seeing Quesada on the ground and bloodied, said the police.
The victim was taken to the Kabankalan City District Hospital. An attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Witnesses told the police the suspect fled to an unknown direction after the incident./PN
