Robbers break into elementary school in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Antique – Burglars broke into the Delegate Angel Salazar Jr. Memorial School (DASJMS) in Barangay 8 here and stole some school properties.

The robbery was believed to have been carried out around or past 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 23.

Marje Cabasan, Principal II of DASJMS, discovered the burglary at around 6:45 a.m. and right away reported to the police.

Six rooms, including the office of the District Supervisor and the closed circuit television (CCTV) room, were entered by force.

Every door locks of the rooms were destroyed.

The robbers also destroyed the fence grills and took off with the school’s following properties:

* Epson Printer worth P8,500

* desktop monitor worth P7,000

* speaker worth P800

* a wristwatch worth P500

* CCTV hard drive worth P10,000

* a computer set worth P15,000

* assorted school supplies

Investigators found a hammer, multi-purpose pliers and a small garden fork believed to have been used by the burglars to destroy the door locks of the rooms.

The investigation is ongoing. No suspects have been named yet./PN
