ILOILO City – Two unidentified robbers killed a fish vendor and wounded two others in Brgy. Tingwan, Balasan, Iloilo before fleeing.
Judy Ari, 48, was pronounced dead at the district hospital in Balasan where he was taken Sunday morning.
His younger brother Jonathan, 40, and relative Diony Pagahiman, 25, both of San Dionisio town, sustained gunshot wounds.
They were treated at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
According to Iloilo police provincial director, Senior Supt. Cornelio Salinas, the three were on their way to the town of Estancia aboard a motorcycle when two armed motorists blocked their way.
One of the men was holding a gun and demanded for their money.
The three gave the robbers P20,000 but before leaving, the armed men shot them.
Judy Ari was hitting on the neck.
“I instructed the Balasan police to conduct a thorough investigation and identify the robbers,” Salinas said./PN
