ILOILO City – The police finally arrested a robbery suspect hiding these past 24 years.
The 42-year-old Rex Ubas was cornered around 9 a.m. on Saturday in Barangay Binuntucan, Pontevedra, Capiz.
Judge Salvador Gubaton of the Regional Trial Court issued the suspect’s arrest warrant.
Ubas was detained at the Pontevedra police station. The police checked his house in Barangay Binuntucan after receiving information that he returned to the village recently.
The suspect was linked to a robbery that took place in Pontevedra in the early 1990s./PN
