AFTER signing his new contract with ABS-CBN, Robi Domingo said he is looking forward to doing more exciting projects with the Kapamilya network this year.
Robi revealed at his recent mediacon what kind of show he would love to be part of next.
“Oh a lot. In the future, I got to discuss it with my fiancée, and I want to host a game show na about knowledge naman. I think it’s high time for us, the Philippines, to bring back the golden age of game shows kung saan people would be rewarded because they know stuff. Parang there was a time na puro teleseryes at ‘yun yung kailangan during that time. Pero ngayon, we need thinking Filipinos. And to do that, we need to bring back game shows. And I want to be one of the people who would want to mount that, too,” he shared.
As part of the Knowledge Channel’s show “Mathdali” for the past four years already, Robi said it has been a big influence on him wanting to bring back shows which aim to educate and entertain at the same time.
“I’m really grateful sa Knowledge Channel and of course to all the bosses there headed by Ms. Rina Lopez. I’ve been with ‘Mathdali’ since 2017 to 2018 but I’ve been a Knowledge Channel baby ever since ‘Mathinik,’ ‘Sinsekwela,’ ‘Epol Apol,’ ‘Hiraya Manawari,’ you name it, pinagdaanan ko ‘yan. Kaya nga ang sarap balik-balikan ‘yung mga pagkakataon na ‘yun and hopefully gawin ulit para sa mga future kapamilyas natin. Because it’s a good foundation to have, especially with viewing habits of the kids right now. Kailangan natin ng values. Hindi puro tumbling beshy tayo,” he explained.
After joining Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus in 2008, Robi joined showbiz and got a taste of acting but eventually decided to focus on hosting instead. Looking back on his journey, Robi said he is open to trying out acting again. (PUSH)
