ACTION star Robin Padilla is joining the military as a reservist.
This was confirmed on Sunday as Padilla reposted the Philippine Army’s release about his visit to the province of Sulu to promote peace. The event happened last June 28.
In the release, Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Ramon Zagala also welcomed Padilla’s desire to join the Philippine Army Reserve Component.
“We thank Mr. Robin Padilla for his time and effort to advocate peace and unity to the people especially those who are affected by the threat of violent extremists. We welcome his desire to join the Army Reserve Component and contribute more to the Army’s thrusts of nation-building. All citizens, whether celebrity or ordinary, are highly encouraged to join us in serving the people and securing the land,” Lt. Col. Ramon Zagala in the release.
In an Instagram post last week, Padilla, who posted a photo with members of the AFP, invited fellow Filipinos to join the Army Reserve Force.
“Support your Armed Forces against domestic threat. Face your fear! Its time to look at our enemies in the eye! Para sa Diyos, para sa bayan, para sa kapwa tao,” Padilla wrote in the caption.
Just weeks ago, Guidicelli finished a 30-day Scout Ranger training in Bulacan. (ABS-CBN News)
