ILOILO City – A neophyte police officer was arrested for alleged domestic violence, a police report showed.
Officers caught the 25-year-old Police Officer 1 Laurence Magoleno in Barangay Poblacion, San Dionisio, Iloilo on Tuesday.
Magoleno, who was detailed at the Capiz Police Provincial Office, was charged with violation of Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.
Officers served him a warrant of arrest at around 9 a.m. in their barangay and brought him to the San Dionisio police station.
A lover accused the policeman of physically abusing them in Iloilo City, the police report stated.
The court set the bail bond at P72,000. It was not clear as of this writing if Magoleno has posted bail./PN
