ILOILO City – A drunken passerby in Barangay San Jose, San Miguel, Iloilo was shot on a knee and rushed to the hospital.
Gilbert Calopez was a 37-yeear-old resident of Barangay Baramba, Leon town. According to the police, Calopez and two drunken companions were rowdy while walking around 10 p.m. on Dec. 11.
Someone disturbed by their noisiness fired a gun, hitting Calopez on his left knee.
Calopez was treated at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City.
Prior to the shooting, the three men had an argument with the shooter that reprimanded them.
The police identified the suspect only as a certain “Ompo.”/PN
