Roxas buy-bust nets P500-K ‘shabu,’ guns

ROXAS CITY – Two drug suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lawaan.

Twelve sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P500,000 were seized from 18-year-old John Michael Labesora and 46-year-old Raymond Galicto, according to Roxas City police station spokesperson Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles.          

Labesora and Galicto were nabbed after they sold suspected illegal drugs to an undercover officer for P6,000 around 6:30 a.m. on Friday, police said. 

Aside from suspected shabu, a .38-caliber revolver with live bullets was recovered from Labesora while a .45-caliber pistol with magazine and live bullets was also recovered from Galicto, the police added. Their two motorcycles were impounded, too.

The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of the Roxas City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and, Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
