ROXAS City – The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) approved an P83-million supplemental budget from where the Christmas bonus of regular, contractual and job order employees of the city government would be sourced.
Regular employees will get P25,000 Christmas bonus plus P5,000 extra bonus while casual employees will get P10, 000 bonus and job order employees, P5,000.
The supplemental budget will also fund the rehabilitation of the Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center (TATC) or the Roxas City public market; sanitary landfill; and equipment of the City Engineer’s Office, among others.
According to Councilor Midelo Ocampo, the supplemental budget was sourced out from the city’s un-appropriated savings as of December 2020, personal services savings as of December 2021 and maintenance and other operating expenses.
Next week, Mayor Ronnie Dadivas is expected to call for a session also so that the city council can take up the 2022 proposed budget of the city./PN
