
ROXAS City – Mayor Ronnie Dadivas has presented the nine priority programs and projects of the current administration for the city this year during the City Development Council Meeting on Monday, February 24.
This comes after the approval of the city’s Supplemental Investment Program for 2025 that includes unappropriated savings/surplus of 2024 and Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (LDRRM) Fund.
“Bangud sa aton pagkinot kag insakto nga paggastos sa pondo sang gobyerno sang syudad, nakatipon pa kita sang savings nga aton gin-reprogram sa mga high-impact projects, mga programa kag proyekto nga kinahanglanon gid sang pumoluyo,” said Mayor Dadivas.
Among these programs and projects are the Bugas para sa Taga-Roxas Program, assistance to individuals or families in crisis situations, procurement of medicines, and provision of disaster response and rescue equipment that aims to bolster the city’s response capabilities.
Other projects include the construction of the new city hall and annex building beside the City Civic Center, repair/rehabilitation of the drainage system and waterways to ease flooding, and construction/repair of school facilities.
Mayor Dadivas added that the city government would install more closed-circuit television cameras to enhance the security measures.
The city mayor expressed gratitude to the Sangguniang Panlungsod particularly Councilor Paul Baticados, the chairman of the committee on appropriations; department heads; civil society organizations; and barangay officials who have been partners of the city government in planning and implementing the city’s programs and projects for the benefit of all Roxasnons./PN
