ROXAS City – Five drug suspects were arrested in a sting operation that the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) staged in Barangay 6.
The suspects were identified as Marie Beth Fortes, Chantal Marie Patricio, Redentor Amancio, Mary Ann Esperon and Abbie Gale Delomos – all residents of Roxas City.
PDEA agents headed by Jessie Cabututan caught them around 6 p.m. on Thursday while they were having a “pot session.”
“Naaktuhan pa naming sila na gumagamit ng droga, drug den pala itong bahay ng target naming na si Marie Beth Fortes,” said Cabututan.
Recovered from the suspects’ possession were 13 sachets shabu estimated to be worth P200,000, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and P300 cash, PDEA agents said.
The suspects were then brought to Iloilo City for drug tests.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspects./PN
