ROXAS City – The city government will create an independent committee to investigate the collapse of a portion of the Roxas City Riverside Promenade (Phase III) Project.

A portion of the project located on Washington Street, Barangay 6 was seen to have caved in early morning of Saturday, Nov. 12.

“The body will submit its findings. Amo na ang aton pagabasehan kay there is no immediate conclusion sa pag-usmod or pag-usdang so dapat ma-determinar gid naton ang cause kag tan-awon gid naton. With this committee, I am pretty sure maayo gid ni siya,” said Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.

The city mayor added that after the body is created, he will discuss with them the timeline of the investigation.

The implementation of this project is by contract. It was awarded for a total of P14,100,000 to MBM Construction, which has an office in Barangay Dulunan Bolo in this city.

To date, the city government has paid the contractor 30.78 percent of the contract price, or equivalent to P4,340,431./PN
