Roxas City HRM grad yields ‘marijuana’

Chrisitan Tullo

ROXAS City – Suspected dried marijuana leaves were recovered in an entrapment operation in Barangay Tiza, police said.

The suspected marijuana leaves contained in four sachets were seized from the 22-year-old hotel and restaurant management (HRM) graduate Chrisitan Tullo, according to Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit head Senior Inspector Hilbert Gervero.

Tullo, a resident of Barangay Inzo Arnaldo Village, said he has been using marijuana for almost a year now.

He was caught after selling the suspected drugs to an undercover police officer for P1,000 on Monday.

Tullo said his “weed master” was the one who told him to hand over the suspected marijuana to the poseur-buyer.

Meanwhile, a drug surrenderee was arrested in another drug buy-bust operation in this capital city on Monday.

The sting operation that officers of the Roxas City police station’s Drug Enforcement Unit staged led to the apprehension of the 47-year-old Fernando Florentino of Barangay San Jose.

Recovered from Tolentino, a tricycle driver, were seven sachets of suspected shabu, police said. The officers also impounded his tricycle.

Ginamonitor naton iya nga hulag kay naka baton kita information nga nagasideline gihapon sia sa pagbaligya shabu,” Roxas City police chief Superintendent Dante Tayco told Panay News.

Tullo and Florentino were detained at the Roxas City police station lockup facility.

They were both facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
