ROXAS City – This capital of Capiz province was named as the No. 1 Most Competitive Component City in Western Visayas, according to the 2024 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) rankings released by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Roxas City also ranked 18th among the Most Improved Rankings Component Cities nationwide.
“Ginakalipay ko nga ipahibalo sa inyo ang maayo nga balita, pamatuod sang maayo nga pagdumala naton sa Roxas City. Base sa Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index 2024 Rankings sang DTI sa 116 tanan ka component cities sa bilog nga Pilipinas, ang Roxas City top 1 sa most competitive component cities sa bilog nga Region 6,” said Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
The mayor added: “Ang ini nga improvement sa aton CMCI rating nagapamatuod nga padayun nga nagaayo ang aton pagdumala sa patag sang ekonomiya, infrastraktura, resiliency, kag mga inobasyon nga nagahatag sang kaayuhan sa pangabuhi kag ekonomiya sang Roxas City.”
The CMCI is an annual ranking of the cities and municipalities based on the sum of their scores on five pillars: economic dynamism, government efficiency, infrastructure, resiliency, and innovation.
The DTI, through the CMCI, aims to encourage local government units to further improve their services to attract more investments./PN
