ROXAS City – This city is one of the 39 local government units (LGUs) in Western Visayas cited for good financial housekeeping for the year 2021.

The city government passed the after-assessment compliance of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) on accounting and auditing standards, rules and regulations, full disclosure policy, bids, and public offerings

“Ini klaro nga pamatuod nga ang aton administrasyon transparent, insakto ang pag gasto kag naka-audit sang maayo ang pondo sang gobierno,” said Mayor Ronneie Dadivas.

The Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) – formerly the Seal of Good Housekeeping – certifies that the LGU has fully used and audited its public funds with full transparency.

It is one of the components of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) given by the DILG.

Other SGLG variables are business-friendliness and competitiveness, disaster preparedness, environmental management, social protection, and peace and order.

Other LGUs in Capiz which are GFH passers are Dumalag, Maayo, Panitan, Pontevedra, Sigma, Tapaz, and Capiz province itself./PN
