Roxas City now zero COVID-19 active cases

ROXAS CITY, Capiz –  For the first time, after more than two years of the pandemic, this city has zero active cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

As reflected in the daily COVID-19 bulletin released by the City Health Office (CHO) as of April 7, a total of 6,043 cases have recovered out of the 6244 total confirmed cases logged in the city. Meantime, death cases in the city remained at 201.

Mayor Ronnie Dadivas attributed this to the dedication and sacrifices of the city front liners in attending and taking care of those who were infected.

The city mayor, however, emphasized that there is still a need to be careful and follow the minimum health protocols against COVID-19 and not to be complacent until such time that the city is declared COVID-free as well as the whole country.

Meanwhile, in the whole province of Capiz, only 4 active cases of COVID-19 are left out of the 12, 238 total cases.

These cases are from four towns namely Dao, Panay, Pontevedra, and President Roxas while the 13 other towns including Roxas City are already zero inactive cases./PN
