ROXAS City – The police station here launched “Barangayahinan”, the Philippine National Police’s version of community pantry that makes available basic goods to poor people for free.

The kickoff over the weekend in Barangay Culasi was timed with the celebration of Labor Day.

The police station under Police Colonel Ricardo Jomuad Jr. distributed fishing equipment and food packs to 50 fisherfolk and beneficiaries of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) who are members of the Nipa Small Fisherfolk Association.

The police station also recognized its partners, stakeholders and supporters.

Councilor Gary Potato represented Mayor Ronnie Dadivas during the launching./PN
