
Roxas City – The city government here, in partnership with the United Architects Association-Capiz, set up six sanitation tents to boost safety protocols against the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
“Four sanitation tents were established at the entrances of the Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center while two are at the city hall,” Roxas City Communications Group information officer Michelle Oropio said.
Each sanitation tent features misting, hand wash and footbath areas to sanitize individuals who pass through it. The sanitation tents were assembled starting last March 31 in the two places of the city where people usually go to.
According to the Capiz Provincial Health Office, on the other hand, this city has recorded two confirmed cases of the COVID-19 – total of 4 in this province as of 12 p.m. of April 5.
The first confirmed case of the virus here was a 60-year-old patient who died on March 29 at a hospital while waiting for laboratory results of her specimen, while the second one is currently on hospital quarantine but is in good condition.
As of 12 p.m. of April 5 also, this city has 13 active persons under investigation. Three of them are at a hospital while the 10 others are under home quarantine.
The city’s COVID-19 monitoring dashboard, meanwhile, showed 149 active persons under monitoring who are currently on home quarantine.(With a report from PIA/PN)
