ROXAS City – This city recorded its highest number of COVID-19 patients who recovered from the disease in a single day.
Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas announced that the city logged 25 recoveries on Thursday, October 8, bringing the total recovered COVID-19 patients to 201.
“Subong nga adlaw, nagapasalamat kita bangud aton narekord ang pinakamataas nga numero sang CoVid-19 RECOVERIES sa Syudad sang Roxas nga naglab-ot tanan sa 25,” Dadivas announced through his official Facebook page ‘Upod Kita Ronnie Dadivas.’
Of the total recovered patients, 137 are local transmission, 47 are health workers, three are frontliners, and 23 are returning overseas Filipinos, locally stranded individuals and authorized persons outside residence.
However, the city also logged five additional COVID-19 positives on the same day, four of which are health workers and one is a call center agent, bringing the total of active cases in the city to 108.
Of the 108 actives cases, 89 are local transmission, 13 are health workers and six are frontliners.
The cumulative confirmed cases in Roxas City are 345 as of Oct. 8 with 27 deaths.
Meanwhile, 33 of the total 47 barangays in Roxas City have active cases of the viral disease.
These barangays are Tiza, Banica, Lanot, Baybay, Bolo, Jumaguicjic, I, III, Inzo, Lawaan, XI, Culajao, Cagay, X, VII, Bago, Lonoy, Milibili, Mongpong, Sibaguan, Tanque, Tanza, V, Dayao, Culasi, Talon, Cogon, Adlawan, Punta Tabuc, Balijugan, Dumolog, Loctugan, and Libas./PN
