Roxas City WVRAA medalists receive cash incentives

ROXAS City – Student-athletes from this city who won medals in the Western Visayas Regional Athletics Association (WVRAA) Meet 2025 received cash incentives from the Roxas City Government.

Mayor Ronnie Dadivas led the distribution of incentives along with Vice Mayor Inday Teresa Almalbis to eight gold, 24 silver and 53 bronze medalists.

Bilang pagpasalamat kag pagpanginbulahan sa delegasyon sang Roxas City Division nga nagpasakup sa Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet 2025, naghatag kita sang subsidy/allowance kag insentibo sa tanan nga atleta kag coaches,” Mayor Dadivas said.

Meanwhile, Iloilo province clinched the overall championship in the WVRAA Meet 2025 held in Antique province from March 2 to 7 after its dominance in the secondary level and paragames.

Elementary

* Champion – Negros Occidental (71 gold, 46 silver and 50 bronze medals)

* 1st Runner-up – Iloilo (66 gold, 67 silver and 33 bronze medals)

* 2nd Runner-up – Antique (nine gold, three silver and 14 bronze medals)

* 3rd Runner-up – Guimaras (six gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze medals)

* 4th Runner-up – Capiz (five gold, 21 silver and 31 bronze medals)

* 5th Runner-up – Aklan (five gold, 13 silver and 41 bronze medals)

Secondary

* Champion – Iloilo (114 gold, 82 silver and 79 bronze medals)

* 1st Runner-up – Negros Occidental (97 gold, 87 silver and 67 bronze medals)

* 2nd Runner-up – Aklan (28 gold, 34 silver and 63 bronze medals)

* 3rd Runner-up – Capiz (15 gold, 30 silver and 63 bronze medals)

* 4th Runner-up – Antique (six gold, 18 silver and 35 bronze medals)

* 5th Runner-up – Guimaras (six gold, 15 silver and 34 bronze medals)

Paragames

* Champion – Iloilo (47 gold, 21 silver and nine bronze medals)

* 1st Runner-up – Negros Occidental (17 gold, 17 silver and 13 bronze medals)
