ROXAS City – Police have yet to determine how a man ended up dead in his own house in Barangay Liong, Roxas City.

They were looking into possible foul play.

His aunt found the body of the 59-year-old Mario Bansagan on March 3.

It was already decomposing, said Barangay Captain Romeo Doloso.

His neighbors have not seen Bansagan for around three days before he was found dead, Doloso said.

According to some residents, they last saw Bansagan on Feb. 28. He lived alone, they said.

Doloso said they were assuming Bansagan must be suffering from a serious illness and may have been dead for more than three days.

His relatives suspected there was something off in the death of Bansagan.

They said they could not find his bag containing his share from the proceeds of a sold property. His cellphone was missing, too, they said.

Investigation into the death continues./PN
