ROXAS City – The city government opened a Temporary Treatment and Management Facility (TTMF) for mild cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) at Hortus Botanicus on Oct 4.
“Ang mga pasyenti nga may referral sang ospital ang makasulod sa TTMF. Indi pwede nga magdiretso. Kinahanglan mag-agi sa ospital ang patient para sa initial assessment kag laboratory tests,” said Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
With COVID-19 infections increasing, the city government decided to open the TTMF to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed with patients.
Only COVID-19 patients who are residents of the city would be accommodated at the TTMF.
The TTMF has 16 rooms with security cameras, internet connection, air-conditioning, and intercom, among others.
It has its own doctors, nurses and nursing aides.
The facility is also equipped with medical equipment like oxygen tanks and concentrators, and high flow cannulas.
“Libre nga iga-provide sang city government ang akomodasyon halin sa kwarto tubtob sa medical staff kag personnel,” said Dadivas.
But the patients themselves would shoulder their laboratory tests and medicines.
The TTMF was established with the help of the Department of Health, Capiz Medical Society headed by Dr. Pip Acepcion, Dr. Abundio Balgos of the Health Centrum, Dr. Cristina Danac-Delfin, Dr. Rene Huinda, Dr. Jo-Anne Bisnar, Dr. Julius Arches, and Dr. Jocelyn Mosquite among others./PN
