ROXAS City – The city government here got the highest audit rating from the Commission on Audit (COA).
In his official Facebook page, Mayor Ronnie Dadivas announced that COA has given the city government Unmodified Opinion – Highest Audit Rating for its 2021 financial statement.
“Klaro nga nangin maayo ang financial statements sang syudad. Pamatuod ini sang tampad, matinlo kag wala korapsyon naton nga pagdumala,” Dadivas said.
According to COA, an unmodified opinion (also referred to as unqualified opinion) is issued when the auditor concludes that the financial statements are prepared, in all material respects, in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework.
The Commission also clarified that an audit opinion should not be viewed as a rating, score or grade, with ranking of lowest to highest.
The city mayor, meanwhile, commended the Finance Team of the Roxas City Government composed of City Accounting Office Head Teresita Bediones, City Budget Officer Edgar Alfon, City Treasurer Mimi Riano, City Planning Head Lorelie Piansay, City Consultant Clara Salame, and City Administrator Love Usison for working hard to achieve the standard set by COA and make sure that everything goes through a process./PN
