ROXAS City – Sixteen sachets of suspected shabu were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Gabuan, according to Lieutenant Mark Anthony Garcia of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit here.
The 37-year-old resident Jeric Clarito of Barangay Domolog yielded the suspected illegal drugs, police said.
Police officers staged the entrapment operation which led to the arrest of Clarito on Feb. 18.
Aside from suspected shabu, P100 marked money and a unit of motorcycle were also recovered from him, the police added.
“Hugot ang amon surveillance sa iya antes gin kasa ang operation,” Garcia told Panay News.
According to Gabuan village captain Alfredo Villanueva, Clarito was arrested there since “it was the place agreed by the suspect and the police asset who served as poseur buyer.”
“Indi hukmungan sang mga adik ang amon barangay, natabuan lang nga si Clarito ang ikaduha na nga drug suspect nga gin dakop sa amon diri paagi sa drug bust,” Villanueva told Panay News.
The suspect was now detained in the lockup cell of the Roxas City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
